| (language, education) | Ada/Ed - An interpreter, editor, and run-time environment for Ada, intended as a teaching tool. Ada/Ed
does not have the capacity, performance, or robustness of
commercial Ada compilers. Ada/Ed was developed at New York University as part of a project in language definition and
software prototyping. AdaEd runs on Unix, MS-DOS, Atari ST, and Amiga. It handles nearly all of Ada 83 and was last validated with version 1.7 of the ACVC tests. Being an interpreter, it does not implement most representation clauses and thus does not support systems programming close to the machine level. Latest version: 1.11.0a+, as of 1994-08-18. A later version is known as GW-Ada. E-mail: Michael Feldman ftp://ftp.wustl.edu/amiga/languages/ada, ftp://cnam.cnam.fr/pub/Ada/Ada-Ed. For Amiga. RISC OS port. |
